What's new in Pinchr.

v1.0.0

LatestFebruary 26, 2026

First open-source release

Pinchr is now free and open source under the MIT license. The full source is on GitHub.

This is a complete rebuild of the app. Highlights:

  • 10-page UI — Dashboard, Chat, Sessions, Tasks, Automations, Skills, Connections, Brain, Terminal, Settings
  • 3-step onboarding — API key, security acknowledgment, start chatting. No terminal, no Homebrew, no friction.
  • Security first — mandatory review of the OpenClaw Threat Model and Trust Center before first use.
  • Zero dependencies — OpenClaw engine, Node.js, and Peekaboo all bundled. Download, install, go.
  • Agent-driven setup — your agent introduces itself and walks you through configuration on first launch.
  • Built on OpenClaw — everything runs locally through the OpenClaw agent engine. Your data stays on your machine.
